Pathway to MOS 0370 and 0372
Each candidate seeking to fill the 0370 or 0372 Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) must complete the following steps.
Step 1: School of Infantry
The School of Infantry (SOI) establishes the operational foundation for prospective Critical Skills Operators. Candidates learn how SOC communicates, moves, and works as a team.
Step 2: Assessment and Selection
Assessment and Selection (A&S) measures whether candidates can apply what they have learned under pressure. Judgment, communication, discipline, and teamwork all matter.
Step 3: Individual Training Course
The Individual Training Course (ITC) prepares selected candidates for the advanced responsibilities of serving in a Marine Special Operations Team.
Step 4: Graduation and Integration
Graduates state their preferences and move into available positions based on:
Performance
Suitability
Command needs
Team availability
Joining the unit is contingent upon completing each course listed above. Acceptance into a Marine Special Operations Team (MSOT) is by invitation only and is determined by MSOT members and command staff.
