SOG S Squadron

SOG S squadron was established in June 2024 as a part of Sweden's accession to NATO, it has it's roots in previous SOG interoperability with NATO and EU forces along with it being to operate for NATO or the EU on request. SOG S squadron is different from normal Swedish SOG that it is under NATO command with the potential of becoming a multi national force. Currently it is only made up of SOG in it's combatant parts and receives support from various NATO forces. This can change in the future to adapt to new emerging threats and unique scenarios that NATO and NATO partners find themselves in. S squadron is unique in using SOG due to their capabilities or doing various types of missions all at once with very limited support from partner forces or NATO itself for extended periods of time.
