724th Special Tactics Group

The 724th Special Tactics Group is a U.S. Air Force Special Operations unit made up of highly trained special tactics Airmen who operate in small teams to support and enable joint combat missions. Their main role is to establish and control austere or hostile environments by securing airfields, coordinating air support, conducting reconnaissance, and performing combat search and rescue operations. They often deploy alongside other special operations forces, acting as the critical link between ground operations and airpower in complex or denied areas.
